Connecting with
what we're reading
You'll hear from many people that Our Saviour's Atonement is many things including a community of readers.
Whether at the Monday morning Adult Bible Study or the Summer Book Reading group, we're always reading new books together on a host of topics related to who we are as Christians and how we act on our faith. Our early summer read was the page turning "church mystery" Deacon King Kong by James McBride. Set in the projects of Brooklyn in the late 1970s, the book was the source of wonderful discussions about the nature of church, who's a saint and cheese!
Below are some of the books we're considering reading in the coming months. Please feel free to suggest a book that has engaged you and might be of interest to people in the congregation. And, of course, join us for one of those book readings and discussions.
