Wednesday, November 30th! 6:30-8:30 PM:  Movie Night at David & John's home

The second movie night will feature the film "Come Sunday"   From his April 12,2018 reviews in the NY Times, critic Ben Kenigsberg wrote:  "If Ingmar Bergman and Robert Bresson gave us priests who feared the absence of God, “Come Sunday” offers the opposite: the story of a real-life evangelical bishop [Carlton Pearson, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor] who began preaching that God was welcoming, and that even people who hadn’t been “saved” would be spared from hell. That message might seem innocuous, but it challenged the beliefs of the congregants at his Tulsa megachurch, who regarded the position as heresy.”  As an added enticement, the film also features Martin Sheen playing not a “fictitious" American president, but the “historic" Oral Roberts! If you plan on attending and for David and John's address, please an email to davidzimmerman52@gmail.com.

The plan is to limit capacity to between 8 and 10 people.  If there is a lot of interest with larger numbers, a second venue will be planned on the same night showing the same film.  Snacks and munchies will be served.

We hope you can make it!!
